'Give as He Gave'

Giving of one's time, talents, and love during Christmastime can bring deeper purpose and meaning to a season in which we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour.  

We can all follow His example by uplifting ourselves, our families, and our communities -- making the world a better and brighter place for those around us.  

Each week leading up to Christmas Day is an opportunity to explore the way Jesus Christ lived and resolve to do the same as we serve one another.

Smile at people ● Write a thank you note ● Forgive a debt ● Give someone a hug ● Visit a friend in hospital ● Phone an old friend ● Help change a flat tyre
Jesus’ love knew no bounds. Take time, look around, and find an opportunity to make someone’s world a bit brighter.

Organize a food drive ● Donate blood ● Invite someone who may be lonely over for dinner ● Cleanup a local park ● Share your talents ● Visit an orphanage and read to the children
Needs exist all around us—some are just a little closer to home. Make your own community a better place.

Do chores without being asked ● Refrain from unkind words ● Say “I Love You” ● Pray together ● Make a new family memory ● Organize a family gathering ● Make your brother’s bed
At the busiest time of the year, fill your home with the light of Christ by serving the people you love most—your family.

Pray to be the answer to someone’s prayer ● Bear your testimony ● Fast for someone in need ● Count your blessings ● Learn about your ancestors ● Read the scriptures daily
As we reach out to give as Jesus gave—and follow His example—we ultimately fan the flame of our own faith.
