- 1992: Elder Earl C Tingey applies for formal recognition
- 1996: Luanda Branch organized by Elder J. Richard Clarke
- 2003 – present: Humanitarian aid assistance
- 2005: Under Mozambique Maputo Mission
- 2008: Cassequel Branch formed
- 2008: First LDS missionaries in Angola
- 2010: Elder D. Todd Christofferson dedicated land and opened it to missionary work
- 2011: Seminary and Institute program started
- 2013: Angola Luanda Mission formed
